Hello- I’m finishing with the 106 minute film I’ve made with Slate- it was great to work with- I will write some articles/make some vids about it soon.
There was one thing in the workflow that I know is a Unity issue and not a Slate one but thought I would ask here anyway-
When loading in animationClips to Slate it pops up the Unity “select animationClip” window like so
In order to preview the animations we cannot use this window so we have to search in the Project view to see a preview then drag and drop or remember the name of the clip to add it- it’s a very clunky workflow.
I know this is a Unity issue and I requested it on the Unity forum but I thought I’d ask here too- I had a look at trying to override the select animationClip window and spent a few hours trying to do it but got nowhere-
It would be a much faster/easier workflow if that window had an autoplay/looping preview window like this
This is indeed a Unity thing and I hope they implement this as it does sound like a good feature to have for sure!
I will however take a look and see if it is any easy (or possible at all) to implement my own.
Thanks 🙂
