Hello- we just finished creating an animated feature film in Slate and now we are creating an interactive experience based on the film. We have intricate fight scenes with lets say 15 separate Animation clips on one animator track for a cutscene from the film.

We can’t use the same cutscene from the film as the scene is too heavy for realtime playback but we want to re-use the Animator tracks-

Is it possible for Animator tracks in Slate to have a “Bake all clips to new animation clip” function/button?

I haven’t looked at any code to combine humanoid animation clips yet, thought I should ask the pro first ^_^

    Thank you.

    Hello there,

Do you mean bake to a single clip to be used outside of Slate (stand alone)?

There is an experimental runtime recorder track which is able to record all animation done by a gameobject in playmode to a single animation clip. This is experimental, but I have attached it for you here to test it out.

Let me know if it works for you to achieve what you want, or if you need any info on how it works.

    Cheers!
