I can’t seem to loop a root motion clip. I have one of someone just running forward, so I took the animation clip and stretched it out farther than the clip length expecting it to just continue on as it would in other things like Timeline, etc, but it just stops and I can’t seem to figure out how to keep it going. Is simply extending the clip not how you are supposed to go about it? I checked the Cinematics options and it was set to loop for the default, but I think that refers to the Cinematic itself? I tried to also open the clips dropdown menu in the timeline and right click and select loop, but nothing I have tried seems to work. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
-MH
P.S. How do you search on this forum? I can’t seem to find it for some reason.
Hello, Can you please confirm that the AnimationClip itself, is set to loop time? This needs to be checked for the animation to loop. (PS: the search forum field is visible on the forums frontpage: [LINK] Just under the Discord button) Let me know. Thanks
Sorry for the late reply, it is set to loop. This is a different one than I originally asked about, but I am running into the same issue. I tried extending the animation clip past it’s end time, which didn’t work, so I copied and pasted it and did a tiny blend and hit match previous loop, but that didn’t work as I expected either, it just looped from the same spot as the original and didn’t move it forward to match the end of the previous one.
Can you please show me the results of the animation played back in Slate as well as the relevant tracks? What exactly is happening?
Does the animation loop at all, or is it only the root motion that is not looping? Is Use RootMotion enabled in the track?
Let me know.
Thanks.
