I am new to Unity and have just bought Slate. I am unable to start Slate though as it calls for launching from the ‘Tools” menu… my version of unity (18.4 windows10) shows no Tools menu….Is that only in pro version? Is there another way to launch Slate?

    Hello again,

Please see my reply on your other post regarding this. I believe that you have a compilation error that needs to be solved.

    Some Slate Questions (Please Help)

You can also launch Slate by the way, by creating a new empty gameobjcet and adding the Component named “Cutscene” on that gameobject via the Add Component button. Then simply click “EDIT IN SLATE” button.

If you are not able to add the Cutscene component however, then is surely means that there is a compilation error that needs to be solved first (one possible cause and solution would be the one I’ve posted in my other anwer: https://slate.paradoxnotion.com/forums/topic/some-slat-questions/#post-2003 )

    Let me know. Thank you!

Thanks! I am much more aware of installing other add-ons now and the conflicts that can occur. Thanks again for the work around. I am using SLATE and really happy with the results. For someone versed in After Effects but new to Unity, Slate is both a great tool and an easier learning curve. Thanks for your help!!!
