I bought the asset to use 2d animation I created in animator, I simply want to control animation by clicking buttons ” I can do that using unity RenderTexture, I was hoping I can use this to edit the frames recorded there.
So is there a way to create like action script or something in real time instead of manually creating them ?
In real time I mean in play mode, and then start playing animation using my animation script I crated to control it with key-bored and unity animator… then editing it in the timeline and exporting it using Slate.
Hello there,
Thanks for getting Slate.
Right now it is not possible, but Realtime Recording of gameobject transformations (position, rotation, scale) and later editing in Slate timeline, is a planned feature for the near future, probably about the time Unity version 2017 is released.
You case is a bit different though since it is about 2D animation, thus possibly no transform changes.
Are you referring to recording of sprite changes animation, that is already created in Unity’s Animation Window?
Yes, I know theres manual way to add individual animation to the actor or creating action trigger manually in the timeline, I wabt to create animation in the play mode automatically by using the the animator animation I created. “Basically I dont want to manually add animation again and not saving time creating and reusing animation”
I am sorry, but as stated above, recording animation in playmode is not possible right now (no other sequencer tool available for Unity does this either). If you have already created animations, you can of course play them in Slate timeline directly by using an “Animator Track” and adding the Animation Clips you want to play. You don’t have to re-created those animations.
Thank you.
