    Hi,
    I would like to ask if you can implement Master Audio support for SLATE. It really makes a lot of sense as it is a cutscene sequencer. Node Canvas, which I also purchased, has support for it. I think it makes even more sense for SLATE to have that feature.

    And can there be Dialogue System support in NodeCanvas. I could write scripts to make them work together, but wondering if there can be an extension.

    Hello,

    I think Master Audio is most suited for gameplay dynamic audio playback, like playlists, audio variations etc, while within a cutscene, things tent to be more deterministic (and of course there need to be editor preview). What kind of integration with Master Audio do you suggest though?

    As for Dialogue System support in NodeCanvas, yes, I can create such an extension and upload it within the next couple of days. Since NodeCanvas includes a Dialogue Tree system, such an integration was very rarely requested.

    Thanks for the dialogue system extension. Yes that’s true, I also use Nodecanvas dialogue tree for most of my project for convenience except for big games where I use dialogue system.

    It would be useful if we have the option to play sound through the method MasterAudio.playsoundandforget() rather than through audio clip and audio source. And to be able to trigger a sound clip in the play list. I’m hoping we can view their audio graph/plot much like how we can do it for audio sources now. Not sure if we can access the reference to the audio clip in the master audio component to do that.

    This may be useful for cutscenes in sound ducking, randomizing volumes and such. Also more and more I’ve been using slate without the director track, so it functions more like a timeline animator for my VR application where we don’t want it to control the maincam. Integration with the master audio system will make it less messy if I use the master audio system throughout. But it’s just a request. If it’s too heavy it’s fine if you can’t implement this. Thanks.

    Hello again Isa,

    It’s not that it will be heavy to implement the integration, but I just wanted to justify it’s use within a cutscene editor such as Slate is, where having a realtime feedback (in this case audio playing) in the editor is a must have 🙂
    I will check out MasterAudio once again and see what I can come up with.
