When adding “Character head look at” even to the standard unity third person character (ethan) the rotation is completely wrong. I attach a screenshot which should clearly shows the problem (freshly added “Ethan” prefab – no changes made apart from adding the Character script and assigning the right bones from armature)

    Hello,

I just checked this out and indeed Ethan does not work correctly due to the rather weird rotation order of it’s rigging (axis Z is not set to be forward), but all other characters I’ve used this with did not had this kind of problem.
Does this happens on your own characters too, or just Ethan?

I will take a look at providing an option to fix this issue, thus possible to work with any rotation order.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Yes, unfortunately it works the same with our custom characters. Some checkboxes to click-through for different rotation options would probably solve the problem 🙂 Thank You for helping us out!
