Minor bug: I have just rendered out an image sequence using the Slate render plugin and noticed that the process doesn’t factor in the black overlay when “Fade from black” blend in is set on the director camera.

I can add this when editing in Premiere but it would be nice to have an accurate export.

    Hey,

    Sorry for the late reply!
The UI effects should be visible in PNG render format only. Did you indeed render in PNG, or EXR?
If you did in PNG then this is indeed a bug.
Please let me know if so.

    Thank you!

I was using PNG. In the game window you can see the black overlay but in the image sequence it is not there.

    Cheers

Hello and sorry for the late reply.
You are right. Unity 5.6 used to be able to capture GUI graphics when using (the now obsolete) “Application.CaptureScreenshot” method, but in later versions of Unity (2017++), it does not do take into account GUI graphics anymore, which is unfortunate.
I will need to look into the possibility of some sort of a hack-workaround.

    Thank you!
