I’ve purchase Slate a week ago and started working on a project with it. However when I started animating, Slate repeatedly made the Unity Editor crash. That makes it impossible for me to animate with animation clips and SLATE.
I use Unity 5.5 which is relatively new, so the issue might be connected to it.
To resume my process so that you can try to reproduce the issue.
I created an animation clip. Animated keyframes in it. Then created an other empty animation clip. Added both to my game object. That created an animator on the gameobject.
Then i created an Animator Track in SLATE. I set a BaseClip created a new animator clip in SLATE. Linked my first animation. All right so far.
I then tried to copy keyframes from my first animation clip to paste them in the second clip and Unity froze. I had to force it to quit.
I then restarted Unity and followed the same process, closing the SLATE editor before pasting the keyframes, and it did not crash. So 90% chances this comes from the SLATE editor I would say.
Are anyone aware of that issue as well ? Am I doing something wrong? Do you have any fixes coming as it makes it impossible for me to use SLATE for my project at the moment.
So, as far as I understand, you mean that this crash is taking place when copying keyframes within the Unity’s “Animation Window” and not keyframes from within the Slate editor.
Are you copy/pasting keyframes while the Slate editor is stopped or while it is in preview mode (scrubbing)?
Even so, I tried replicating the crash, but I couldn’t do it. I am using Unity 5.5.0f3.
Can you please send a reproduction project (support_AT_paradoxnotion.com) so that I can check this out along with steps to make the crash happen?
